I Still Need To Rest, Stop The E-Mail Madness, Intuitive Readings, Aerial Yoga, Crossfit Opens & Easy Greek Chicken w/Tzatziki

Happy Monday!  Yup…It’s school vacation and I’m three days late on this blog!  Actually, I wrote most of it on time, then ran out of time and didn’t get it out.   So, I’m thinking I may need to change the day I write and post my blog.  Why?  Well, I typically start writing on Thursday night, then finish off and post on Friday morning. But….end of the week is not only hectic, but on Thursday nights, I just want to sit and relax!  Remember I’ve talked about that sit relax thing I wanted to work on this year?  IT HASN’T HAPPENED YET!!!  So, I need to find the time. And…

Snow & Stress, Kids Allergies & Confusion, OOTW & Chicken Tortilla Pie

Happy Friday!  Blog day!  So, my week this week wasn’t much different than last week….unfortunately.  Because last week was pretty sucky.  It was two things…stressful and snowy.  Another snow day for the kids and also another delay.  Ok, mother nature….I’ve had enough of the snow!  Yesterday, my hubby was gone all day, so trying to be a good wife, I attempted to shovel the driveway so he didn’t have to do it when he got home at 7:30 or today.  I refuse to use or even learn how to use the snow blower. That thing scares the crap out of me!  Plus, snow would end up being all of the…

Crossfit Celebrations, OOTW, I Love A Good Week, Advanced Allergy Therapeutics, Two Easy Crockpot Meals

Happy Friday!!!  It’s been an awesome week.  So much fun.  So much positivity, and so many good things happening.  I’ll start off with last weekend, first.  Sunday night, we got to head out for the evening to celebrate Crossfit Free’s 5th year Anniversary.  5 years for them means almost 5 years for us as members.  Actually, my son Kyle joined there exactly 5 years ago…before my husband Scott and I did.  He was only 7!  Yikes!  Time flies.  He would go twice a week and each time I would go, I would sit on the sidelines, barely speaking to anyone, and just watched.  I was certainly intimidated a bit by…

I Miss My Hunny, Advanced Allergy Therapeutics, OOTW, & Honey Lemon Chicken w/Asparagus

Happy Fridayyyyyyy!!!!  It’s been such a long week.  And now it’s SOOOOOOO COLD!  Brrrrrr….  It’s been a long week mostly because my hubby has been in London since Sunday 🙁  But…he’s coming home today and I can’t wait!  I miss him.  And it’s tough having him gone all week.  Even though he’s been traveling for like…ever…I still hate when he’s gone.  I don’t sleep well.  I fall asleep ok, but I can’t stay asleep.  I wake up almost every hour.  Unbroken sleep is the worst!  I mentioned last week that this month my goal was to get 7 hours of sleep each night.  Well, that kind of went downhill this…

Blank Mind, Pay Attention, Stranger Things, & Coconut Cassava Chicken Fingers w/Honey Mustard Sauce

So, it’s Friday….I’m sitting here and I  have to say…my mind is blank this week.  It’s been quite a week for reasons I can’t explain right now, but my focus this week was not on food and coming up with new recipes for the blog.  The good news is…I’ve been eating fantastic because last weekend I prepped sooooo much food!  I’m also doing a 10-day shred with a big group of clients and have been so excited about it.  They are on day 4 today and I’m happy I decided to join them.  It’s kept me focused on not eating crap….especially Halloween candy!  Oh, I ate plenty of halloween candy…

Roasted or Rotisserie Chicken & Homemade Bone Broth

Cold and flu season is upon us!  That means we need to start to think about ways we can up our immune system and stay healthy!  I’m sure a ton of you have read about bone broth.  You can now buy good quality bone broth online, but why buy it when you can make it?  You may think it’s hard, but trust me…it’s not.  On many Sunday’s my husband, Scott, and I will roast up a full chicken…or 2….or make them on the grill. We LOVE it! Not only do we have chicken for the week (to use for lunches and emergency meals), but we always make a batch of…

No more wisdom, Poop, & Grilled Chicken Skewers w/Thai “Peanut” Sauce

It’s Friday!!!!  It’s supposed to be Fun Friday, right?  Well…it’s kind of not today.  Actually, I don’t think it’ll be fun at all.  This morning, I’m heading in to get my 3 wisdom teeth removed (sigh).  This is NOT fun.  But…it needs to be done, so here I go.  Let’s look at the bright side.  I’ll be drugged up, forced to sleep, then will have to be waited on hand and foot the rest of the day.  It can’t be that bad, right?  We will see.  You know what’s even worse than getting your teeth pulled?  It’s getting your teeth pulled on your favorite day at Crossfit.  I hate that…
