Surround Yourself with Positive People

Happy Friday! ? So, let’s NOT talk about food this morning, ok? Instead let’s change the subject. After all, living a happy heathy life isn’t always just about food. Yes, we need to fuel our bodies with good food to feel good. But it’s also so important to surround ourselves with positive people. Let’s chat a little about negative energy today, shall we?

I had a “situation” this week. Actually, it wasn’t just this week. It’s been going on for months. But it snowballed and got way out of hand this week. I’ve spent many many hours angry ? about this situation. I would talk to friends about it, I would lose sleep over it….basically I’ve been wasting sooooo much negative energy on this. And this week? Well, I had so much work to do one night and instead this completely consumed my evening. I got nothing done.

So what do you when someone or something is causing so much negativity in your life? That’s a tough one. You in turn don’t want to create drama, but you need to do what’s best for YOU. I knew what I WANTED to do…it was what my gut had told me months ago. But I was scared to do it. A good friend gave some great advice. She said, “it’s these moments that help us put boundaries around our relationships. Putting up a boundary will make you stronger and make you realize that you can put up healthy boundaries with people and it will be ok.” Is she a super smart friend or what? I’m so lucky to have so many amazing people in my life. She was exactly right! When people start playing games with you?? That’s when you need to remove them from your life. So, that’s what I did. I removed myself from the situation. It’s what I tell my kids to do all the time. If you feel a relationship is negatively affecting you, remove yourself from that relationship. I really just had to take my own advice. But, as we all know, it’s not always that easy.

How do I feel about it now? I feel good! I no longer have this situation in my daily life anymore. Am I still thinking about it? Sure. But I can’t see or hear it. Eventually, it will fade. But, I now get to spend my time on what I love to do instead of wasting time being annoyed and angry at people that don’t matter. They don’t deserve my time. I actually feel sorry them. And I really hope they find peace within themselves and are eventually able to be their own person…and try not to be someone else. ??

Why am I telling you all this? Because stress in your life matters when it comes to health. If you want to be the best YOU, never be afraid to set limits and boundaries with negative people. If you surround yourself with positivity and positive people, you will find a life full of health and happiness. ❤️❤️
